Your files stay on this device. My files and Messages are kept in this browser's data — clearing it deletes them, even in the app. Back up Messages & Files to keep your chats safe.
In the menu bar choose
File → Add to Dock…
Then click Add. StayPutPDF appears in your Dock and Launchpad, opens in its own window and works offline.
No File → Add to Dock? It needs macOS Sonoma or later. Open this page in Chrome to install from there.
Safer as an app. In the browser, My files and Messages live in Safari's website data — clearing it deletes them. The app keeps its own storage, so clearing Safari won't touch them.

Safari
- Open stayputpdf.com in Safari.
- In the menu bar choose File → Add to Dock…
- Click Add. StayPutPDF appears in your Dock and Launchpad.
Chrome or Edge
- Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar, or open the ⋮ menu and choose Install StayPutPDF.
- Click Install. You can pin it to the Dock like any app.
Chrome
- Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar, or open ⋮ → Cast, save and share → Install page as app.
- Click Install.
Edge
- Open … → Apps → Install this site as an app.
- Click Install. Right-click its taskbar icon to pin it.
- Open stayputpdf.com in Chrome. Scan the QR code to get there fast.
- Tap Install when the banner appears, or open → Add to Home screen → Install.
- Open StayPutPDF from your home screen. It works even in airplane mode.
- Open stayputpdf.com in Safari. Scan the QR code to get there fast.
- Tap the Share button in the toolbar. On iOS 26, tap ••• first, then Share.
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Keep Open as Web App switched on if you see it, then tap Add.
iPhone doesn't offer a one-tap install button for websites, which is why it takes these four taps. You only do it once.
